Akiko TATSUMI

Akiko Tatsumi is currently vice president and professor of violin at Toho Gakuen School of Music where she graduated. Early in her life, she studied with Saschko Gawriloff in West-Berlin. As a violinist, Akiko Tatsumi has performed with Symphonie-orchester des Nord-deutsche Rundfunks, Radio Symphonie Ochester Frankfurt and many others under such conductors Eliahu Inbal, Gerd Albrecht, Zdenek Macal and so on. As an educator, Prof. Tatsumi ever taught at Hochshule der Kunste Berlin. Every summer, she teaches at the Mozarteum International Summer Academy in Salzburg. Besides, Prof. Tatsumi also serves as the music director of Violin Festa Tokyo at Suntory Hall, and Kasama international Music Academy in Japan.

 

Akiko Tatsumi was juror of many international competitions, Mozart, Wieniawski, Oistrakh, and Monaco, etc., and master class at University of California, University Mozarteum Salzburg, University of Vienna, University of Graz and Hochschule Musik Zurich.
