Here comes the Mozart Exhibition: The China Debut of 16 Museum Rarities

On September 20th, with the 1st Zhuhai International Mozart Competition For Young Musicians entering its final stage, the series of events on the theme of Mozart is also in full swing. In the afternoon of the day, the opening ceremony of the Mozart Exhibition is held in the entrance hall of Zhuhai Huafa & CPAA Grand Theatre. From the day to the 26th, 16 precious museum rarities about the composer will be exhibited here, offering the audience a feast of rarities.

Introduced by the organising committee, the exhibition is a highlight of the events. It will be open from 2pm to 8pm each day from September 20th to 26th. 16 museum rarities from the Salzburg Mozarteum Foundation, including the first editions of Mozart’s works and the first editions of textbooks written by Mozart’s father, will be in the exhibition, portraying three-dimensionally an affable Mozart, an angel in human world.

This the first Mozart exhibition held by the foundation in China, many rarities are never-before seen in the country. It will also be the most important Mozart exhibition in China. Guided by the experts from Salzburg Mozarteum Foundation, the audience are encouraged to take a close look at the images showing Mozart and his musical achievements, to approach the rich cultural atmosphere in Salzburg and the charm of Mozart’s music, and to have a further understanding of the golden age of classical music.

The organising committee has launched an HTML-5 page of the exhibition on the official WeChat platform. Anyone who follows the public account “Zhuhai International Mozart Competition For Young Musicians” can explore the online exhibition for free. They could have a romantic encounter with Mozart and classical music while appreciating the performance of excellent young musician from all over the world.

To celebrate Zhuhai International Mozart Competition For Young Musicians and related events, Liang Tao, the assistant to the general manager of Zhuhai Huafa Cultural Education Tourism Development Co, Ltd, announces that the music hall of Zhuhai Huafa & CPAA Grand Theatre will be renamed as “Mozart Music Hall”. With its international-level management, it will become a competing stage and communicating platform for young violinists and pianists, giving new vitality to Mozart’s music.

As the main venue of Zhuhai International Mozart Competition For Young Musicians, Zhuhai Huafa & CPAA Grand Theatre was opened in October 2014, operated and managed by Zhuhai Huafa & CPAA Grand Theatre Management Co, Ltd. The company is composed of Zhuhai Huafa Cultural Education Tourism Development Co, Ltd and China Performing Arts Company (CPAA). Currently, Zhuhai Huafa & CPAA Grand Theatre is a full-featured and highest-standard performing venue, the first internationalized, modern, and professional theatre in Zhuhai.
